There is nothing more humilating for a man than being useless. The men who are in charge or have some say or control over whether a country like Isreal rape a country like Lebanon are bunch of useless peices of shit. You are not men. You are ugly, selfish cowards. If you don't have the balls to do what it takes then why don't you just abdicate from your positions and allow the men who ARE willing to put themselves on the line and GET THE JOB DONE take charge. You yellow bastards are a disappointing disgrace. You shame yourselves and your families. A real man protects his people and doesn't look out only for his interests. I have come back to re-read this post a number of times.
I assume you are speaking of the non-Hezbollah Lebanese men. If they were to behave as you say they should, then they would be no different than the Israeli army -- who is behaving aggressively to "defend" (rightly or wrongly is beside the point) themselves and their families. At least that is how most Israelis defend their actions and policies.
I would submit that the most useful man is an intelligent man. This war will end - and it looks as though it could end rather quickly (I hope). And when it does, the Lebanese people will need their men to be alive and well, because the rebuilding will take a lot of work -- something Lebanese men are very good at.
Or they could go off and get themselves killed -- and for what? Higher causualties to make the Israelis look worse than they already do?
No, if I were a Lebanese mother with children, I would want my husbands and fathers and brothers to do all they could to stay alive.
The only think more useless than a stupid man (GW Bush & Nasrullab both come to mind) is a dead man. Well, perhaps a stupid man is more useless than a stupid dead man.

I couldn't agree with you more. I wrote this out of sadness and frustration and from seeing how FRUSTRATED the men in my life were as well. My father, my brother, my friends ...etc are all furstrated because they can't do anything. The best they can do is be intelligent, real men who will stand by their families and do their best.
In the post, I am talking about the men who CAN (Bush, Nasrallah and the rest of the Arab leaders). Also, even when I do say that these men should get off their asses, I don't mean that they do so through violence. On the contrary, violence is a sign of stupidity. When you are not smart enough to find a diplomatic and humane solution, you resort to violence.
I say to hezbollah, wouldn't it have been smarter to get an education and the qualifications, organize a strong political party, lobby with other politicians, make yourself an asset that people would like to schmooze with, wouldn't you THEN be able to get your way?

And I do understand how the men in your family feel. But, I have a feeling that they are hard at work seeing to it that you and other members of your family are being given all the resources -- including the incredibly important goal of a good education -- to leave a healthy and productive life!
My personal feeling is that all the "men" who are driving this tragdey (Ahmedinijad, Bush, Nasrullah, Olmert, etc) are really just a bunch of very spoiled and immature boys who are determined to break the toy -- rather than share it.
A "real" man knows how to control his temper and to rely on original and imaginative solutions to solve problems. Unfortunately, we have not (as people of the world) figured out a way to see that this kind of man become leaders. Esp here in the US.

I mean for all those self-centered and selfish figures, whether it is Bush or the others, can't you see how obvious your aims are? How easy it is to know that all you care about is money and power?
I just wish that they get what they deserve whether now or later.

Something I always say.. It's very easy to start a war when it's not your neck on the line.. you're gambling away someone else's life..
This is one of the rare times that I've been proud of the Saudi political response to international affairs..
You know what amuses me? How many people are praying for Nasrallah because of how "smart" and "good" they think he is? how many SAUDI people?..
Oh well, maybe one day Arabs will decide to wake up from their deep sleep and smell the coffee.. and maybe grow some balls :)
